well said

if sinners will be damned, at least let them leap to hell over our bodies. and if they will perish, let them perish with our arms about their knees, imploring them to stay. if hell must be filled, at least let it be filled in the teeth of our exertions, and let not one go there unwarned or unprayed for- charles haddon spurgeon

making Jesus famous again

yesterday was my first official day as worship pastor at first baptist litchfield. from where i was standing it was a great day. God's presence was felt! tim started a series entitled, making Jesus famous again in 2008. he used an article written by ed stetzer that provided some interesting insight. tim's message really stirred my passion for the gospel. the fact that the fervor of preaching the gospel has been lost along with its weight should be staggering to us evangelicals who are called to live and breath the gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus must be the center of everything we do if we are to be true Christ-followers. let us bring back the power of the renown of the name of Jesus!

All is Quiet...

on New Years Day. Well not really. Kim and I have been at Winterfest since Sunday with NOU Ministries. We are really tired but it has been an amazing time helping Eric and Daniel run their booth and just hanging out with them.
Personally I think resolutions stink because we are a broken people who break resolutions. Simply let us be steadfast in the the love and life of Jesus Christ, striving for righteous living that glorifies the Father.
Welcome 2008 and its challenges for the glory of the Father. I pray that we see the powerful and effective move of God starting in our hearts and moving to others
Happy New Year!
